Welcome to the library at Jean C. Few Primary!

Reading is at the heart of the library program. During their library rotation, our youngest students enjoy themed story times that will spark their imaginations and begin to build foundational literacy skills, while students in first, second, and third grade participate in interactive read-alouds designed to reinforce key literacy skills learned in the classroom.

The library has a large collection of both print and digital books for students to explore and check-out to enjoy at home. Students are encouraged to check-out books each time they come to the library. There truly is something for everyone - leveled readers for students learning to read or wanting to strengthen their reading skills, picture books, chapter books, and a vast collection of nonfiction books. Our new digital collection is ever growing and features e-books/audiobooks that can be enjoyed on any device with an Internet connection. The library also features eight computer stations that students may use to search the online Destiny catalog, take Accelerated Reader (AR) quizzes, or complete research using one of our databases.

Our new librarian, Ms. Christine Eaves, is excited to welcome students into the library this year! Her goal is to help each of her students discover a love for reading that they will carry with them throughout their lives.
