AR tests can be taken in the library, at home, or in the classroom on a student's iPad or Chromebook.
What is Accelerated Reader?
Accelerated Reader is a reading program that allows students to take quizzes about the books they have read. These quizzes tend to be short and monitor how well the reader understood the book they read. Readers earn points for every quiz they take and master. As they hit certain point milestones (i.e. 5 points, 10 pointes, 15 points, etc...), readers earn prizes. Prizes can be anything from pencils and 3D erasers to free books and waterbottles. A grand prize will be awarded to the top 2 readers (those with the most points) in First, Second, and Third grade at the end of the year.
How do I take a test?
After reading a book, click on the picture above or log-in to Accelerated Reader through the ClassLink locker on your school-issued device. Type in your username and password. Your username is the same one you use to log-in to your iPad or Chromebook (usually firstname.lastname), and your password is your lunch number.
